As usual, Drowned Madonna is honoured to promote new artists who are related somehow  to Madonna. Singer/actor/model Eric West gave us a brief interview in which he told us about his meeting with Madonna.

Eric is actually working on the untitled "Lindsay Lohan" flick that is due for 2006. Eric's debut album "Half | Life" will be release in early 2005, while the first single from the album will be out in December 2004. For more info check his official website, www.eric-west.com.

Drowned Madonna: How many times have you met Madonna?

Eric: I was lucky enough to meet the Material Girl twice.

DM: Can you tell us something of the first time?

E: At last years MTV Video Music Awards I sat about 4 rows behind her, as soon as I got a chance I made sure that I introduced myself to her.

DM: And what about the second time...

E: I met her at the Forum Club in Los Angeles in May or June when I attended her world tour after party. I went to the party... just being there was enough, but my manager introduced us (again). I explained to her how much I was a fan, and that I met her last year at the MTV Awards, but didn’t really get a chance to say much to her at the awards. Then I went on to tell her that one day it would be an honor to work with her, whether it was writing, dancing, acting with her.

DM: Did you talk about your upcoming album "Half | Life"?

E: I told her about my album... she seemed interested in hearing it and said send her a copy. Of course I said I will, though I don’t know where she lives.

DM: Did she make a good impression on you?

E: She was extremely pleasant, it will always be one of the standout moments of my career. At lot of people make her out to be arrogant, and not fan friendly, but I can say otherwise, for such a superstar, she makes you feel as if you’re talking to an old friend.

DM: Thank you Eric. It was a pleasure chatting with you...

E: Thank you for supporting my music as a new artist, and my upcoming movies. Ya’ll rock!!!
