JP Gaultier talks to French newspaper "Libйration" about the show, the costumes and Madonna :

- "an amazing show"
- 4 sections : Equestrian, "Bйdouins" (Middle Eastern) with "Isaac", more Rock, Disco with "Hung Up" in the end of the show, around 2 hours
- first meeting with Madonna last November
- almost 400 costumes (Madonna, dancers, musicians) only sent yesterday, Thursday 11
- rehearsals with costumes this Saturday (tomorrow) in L.A.
- name of the place where take place the rehearsals near Los Angeles : "The Bunker"
- this week-end, the show will totally be filmed to check everything. And Madonna will also be replaced by a choreographer for one show so that she will see the whole show.
- the show might open on "Future Lovers" with a sample from "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer
- around 40 persons worked on the costumes for Gaultier, except some Equestrian costumes from Hermиs
- for the disco section, JP Gaultier wanted a Las Vegas kind, Madonna didn't. She wanted a ABBA way, with white and violet colors. The "Disco Travolta" was Gaultier's idea but was Madonna's idea too. Gaultier wanted to dress her backup singers as Donna Summer, Cher and Village People but Madonna didn't like it.
- all dancers are at the rehearsals from 09:00 AM to 09:00 PM, week-end included. Madonna arrives at 01:00 PM, after she meets her children and her manager
- during the rehearsals, Madonna SINGS LIVE
- there are 3 choreographers but Madonna doesn't watch them at all and even does better than them
- almost all the show comes from Madonna herself
- she is concentrated, does all the dance steps again and again, and says in her microphone what is wrong
- everybody wears a pass, the color is changed everyday
- leather for the costumes was prohibited
- the inspiration for the costumes are from Travolta, Romy Shneider in "Ludwig", Mandrake, Lou Reed, Bowie, T-Rex
- Madonna will sing "Live To Tell" on the cross
- she will wear a T-shirt with "I love...(and the name of each town she will be in)" written on it
