Guy Oseary comments on Revolver and the Sticky & Sweet Tour DVD.

As he usually did in the last months, Guy Oseary went back to talking about upcoming Madonna's projects on his personal Twitter page.

This time Guy replied to those who asked questions about Revolver and the DVD of the Sticky & Sweet Tour. His replies are very interesting and shed light on a lot of fans' doubts.

Guy said that he doesn't think there will be any video for Revolver.

Anyway, DrownedMadonna.com heard that a release of Revolver is still in the pipeline (at least in the States), and at the moment they are working on the remixes. A release is very likely; even if it didn't happened in late September as rumoured and reported online.

As to the DVD of the Sticky & Sweet Tour, Guy Oseary said that the new performances from this year tour won't be part of the DVD release; but the new performances were shot in Israel, and they are trying to find a way to release those performances to fans. Therefore, according to Guy, it seems that the DVD is done.

With regard to Celebration, DrownedMadonna.com have been told that Warner didn't go for the song at the US radio. Anyway, Celebration is huge in the clubs and dance radio in the USA.

There have been so much talks about Can't You See My Mind, the track that Madonna and Mirwais wrote and produced for the "Die Another Day" movie. At the end "Die Another Day", the track, made the soundtrack.

Finally we have some details to share about this so-much-talked unreleased song.

Can't You See My Mind is not a ballad at all as rumoured, but it's upbeat.
Each line on the verses is a question. The song has a mysterious feel to it.
Michael Colombier's arrangement on it has a much more natural sound than in Die Another Day.
Once again Madonna sings, more like talks, in French.

Some European countries iTunes stores have the Celebration album ready to pre-order.

The DELUX edition currently features It's So Cool as a bonus track.

As you probably remember, DrownedMadonna.com talked about It's So Cool last month (July 16, 2009), giving some more details. Here are some parts of what we reported:

"Another discarded track off the hits album would be a song that was written back in 2001 by Madonna and Mirwais Ahmadzaï, we assume for her underrated "American Life" album, and reworked by DJ Oakenfold for the current CD. "Cool" would be its working title. An in-your-face upbeat track."

Now we can add a few more details. The infamous "Save your soul, it's all a test" is taken from It's So Cool, as well as "It's so cool to be uncool".

Finally, we have more to add about Broken. "Won't change my story to take all my glory" is part of the lyrics.
Here is what we reported about Broken last month:

""Broken", an original track written and produced by Madonna and Paul Oakenfold, that was earlier mistaken for "I'm Sorry". Another light dance track in which she repeatedly asks us (or the media?) if we don't feel sorry for her."

Dionne Warwick is involved in a special memorial song for Michael Jackson, she revealed to Italian press. She has some more special details to add.

"It's produced by my son Damon. Madonna, Stevie Wonder and Whitney will sing with me. It's still a very secret project, but Dionne is going to 'blossom' again."

Obviously it will be a cover of a Michael Jackson song.

Anyway, keep in mind that there's a chance that Dionne Warwick words have been twisted, and she just wanted to say that in the same album there will be Madonna, Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston.

The songs which were selected by Madonna and her fans have all been exquisitely remastered. “Celebration” will be available as a two-CD set as well as a single CD.

The “Celebration Video Collection DVD” will include unedited and never before seen footage of “Justify My Love” along with 27 Madonna videos to be released on a DVD compilation for “the very first time” including “Into The Groove” and “Give It To Me” as well as the just completed video of Madonna’s new single “Celebration.”

Madonna clearly continues to rule the dance floor with her latest single. Her “Celebration” Remix EP is #1 on iTunes Dance Album chart as well as #1 on the Masterbeat overall chart. The song is #*5 on Billboard’s Club Singles Chart and the Greatest Gainer for the second week in a row. If “Celebration” reaches #1 on Billboard’s Club Single Chart, it would be Madonna’s 40th!!!! #1 Club single – the most of any artist in the history of the Billboard Club Singles Chart.

The advert, as revealed by LondonFan30 at www.madonnafanzine.com as few days ago features small audio clips from Holiday, Like A Virgin, Material Girl, Papa Don't Preach, La Isla Bonita, Lucky Star, Open Your Heart, Dress You Up, Cherish, Express Yourself, Into The Groove, Like A Prayer, Music, Ray Of Light, Hung Up, Vogue and obviously Celebration the track.

Madonna, Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Robbie Williams are among the host of big names reportedly planning to record a charity disc of Michael Jackson's greatest hits. Other world-famous acts taking part include Whitney Houston, Usher and Brit schoolboy sensation Shaheen Jafargholi, with legends Stevie Wonder, 59, Diana Ross, 65, and Lionel Richie, 60, also expected to lay down tracks. The idea came about after a succession of stars sang cover versions of the singer's hits at his memorial service. Producers are asking the stars to perform their favourite Jacko songs. Mariah, 39, will sing I'll Be There and Britain's Got Talent star Shaheen, 12, who wowed fans at the Los Angeles memorial with his version of Who's Loving You, will be asked to record that track and Jacko's 1970s smash Ben. Madonna, 50, could be tempted by Beat It or Billie Jean, while other songs expected to be covered include Rock With You, She's Out Of My Life and Bad. And Robbie, 35, is being lined up to sing Man In The Mirror amid reports his former Take That bandmates could cover ABC, Working Day And Night or Don't Stop Til You Get Enough. A live tribute concert is also being planned at O2 Arena, involving the singer's family and other guests, on what would have been his 51st birthday on August 29.

Madonna gets her greatest hits groove on with 'Celebration'

Madonna's upcoming single was leaked online today, in advance of her fall hits collection "Celebration." The latter won't be released until the end of September, but for now, fans can sample a club-ready song from the effort, one that feels and sounds like an effective reboot of Madonna's late '80s hits.

The title track was co-produced by Madonna and electronic artist and long-time Madonna pal remixer Paul Oakenfold. The cut pretty much delivers what the title implies. It's slightly less Euro than latter-day Madonna dance-cuts such as "Hung Up," and a little less obsessed with tapping the producer-of-the-moment-styles of "Hard Candy." The end result is a song that falls somewhere in between, focusing on highly energetic synth-pop groove, yet isn't as inventive as either of the referenced works.

As a throwaway, midsummer dance pop number, it works. It's definitely a cut that nods to Madonna's '80s disco roots, and would fit comfortably on a hits collection packed between "Vogue" and "Ray of Light." A speak-sing bridge gives the song a little bit of an edge, and allows Madonna to flex some personality -- goofing that she doesn't recognize her dance partner without clothes on.

"Celebration" feels as if it has modest goals, at least by Madonna's standards. Even when it gets a bit risque (see above paragraph), silliness rules the day. She invites us "to the dance of life," and coasts over the chorus. "Celebration" the greatest-hits album will close the book on Madonna's Warner Bros. career, and "Celebration" the song is an effective look back, a gliding, reassuring number that she hasn't forgotten her beginning. But rather than instill a sense of nostalgia, everything feels a bit obligatory. The sound of an artist, hopefully, ready for the next chapter.

Okay, I'm a writer so I pay attention to these kinds of things... Yes, this is just a fun frivolous dance song but consider it with this in mind:

Here are a few frequent and popular themes in pop songs, any one of which is enough for a single song:

• Let's dance/let's party. (Forget our cares, lose control, etc)
• Carpe diem! Sieze the day! (Stop waiting and do it now, a Madonna staple)
• You are a star, and the only one for me. (Everybody wants to party with you.)
• I'm hot -- are you up to the task? (Madonna as predator.)

None of these are earth-shattering, all of them standard fare. But most dance/pop songs feature one of these, two at most. But the song rather deftly weaves them ALL together into one giant Madonna theme -- which is that life is a celebration, the dance floor is my temple, you are my salvation, we are stars and, whatever we do, let's do it NOW.

Considering how sparse the lyrics are, coupled with the music, there really is a sense of urgency, and a sense of celebration. It truly is a fab anthem for life.

Plus, when you consider that the vocal lines are nothing but a series of killer hooks -- each one with the capacity to remain stuck in your head -- what you have here is pure pop genius.

It looks so simple because it's done so well.

Because the new single, Celebration, leaked online yesterday radiostations in The Netherlands are allowed to play it. The official download for the Netherlands will be available later today through iTunes Netherlands.

UPDATE: Just one day after it's radio/web release Celebration is getting rave reviews from radiostations in The Netherlands.
Radio538 - one of the greatest en most important stations over here - have labelled Celebration as their 'Alarmschijf' which means it is the most important and played record for next week. Listeners will hear Celebration almost every hour!
