Fitness trainer to the stars and Madonna baby-daddy Carlos Leon has not only attached his name to a real estate project, he attends the parties as well. Along with developer NCF Equities and Avi Voda of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Voda Group, Leon hosted a pre-Halloween event last night at the Crescent Club sales office at 29-09 Queens Plaza North. Leon designed the Crescent's full-service gym. "The gym will have a warehouse kind of feel, wood floors, and be very industrial," says Leon. "Long Island City is a cool neighborhood, but it still doesn't have an Equinox or NY Sports Club. We're going to bring the gym home."

Madonna shot fools Monroe expert!

A Las Vegas couple and a Marilyn Monroe expert have been left embarrassed after what they thought was a nude photo of the star turned out to be a shot of pop star Madonna. Lawrence Nicastro, 73, said he found the grainy poster-sized photo at his home and thought it was a rare picture of Monroe posing as a naked hitchhiker. He and his wife Phyllis then spent four months researching the photograph. Mr Nicastro suspected it had been left by a customer at his service station in New York city in 1962.
The couple brought in Monroe expert Chris Harris, who confirmed it was a genuine, exciting find.

Harris scheduled a news conference to unveil the image but allowed some journalists a sneak preview.

They suggested the photographic treasure was in fact a shot of Madonna from her graphic 1992 book, Sex.

It displayed the singer wearing just heels and a handbag, with a cigarette in her mouth.

Harris realised the mistake: ’You’re right; it’s Madonna. If there ever was an embarrassing moment ...’

He still plans to hold the news conference to ’face the music’.

’Who wins here? Madonna, of course. She really looks like Marilyn Monroe,’ insisted Harris.

It is not clear where the photograph actually came from, but Harris said he believed someone had slipped the poster into Mr Nicastro’s belongings as a practical joke.

Since then, Brooke has accompanied Madonna on two worldwide concert tours. Last year, for the singer’s "Confessions" tour, Brooke commissioned the creation of diamond mink eye lashes.

But you don’t have to be Madonna to talk beauty with Brooke. She’s slated to make an appearance (from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) Saturday at the Shu Uemura counter in Neiman Marcus at Fashion Island. She’ll introduce the latest in Shu Uemura’s line of false lashes and, among other beauty subject-matter, discuss the benefits of proper skincare.

Madonna fooled fans and pundits around the world when she sported the startling new look at a photography exhibition in Tokyo on Tuesday.

But despite reports of a £750 haircut, her new look turned out to be down to a hairpiece created for the filming of her next pop video.

It is understood that the wig was created by Madonna’s Beverly Hills hairdresser Andy LeCompte.

Madonna Gives First Ever Show in Moscow Amid Protests.

Some 50,000 spectators, 7,000 police officers, and a handful of Orthodox Christian protesters congregated at Moscow’s largest stadium for Madonna’s controversial debut concert in Russia, AFP reports.

A week after a hundred believers gathered to let Moscow know that the American singer was “under the influence of the devil”, threatening an “inquisition” if she came to Moscow, police said they held 10 Orthodox protesters near the concert.

The public, however, appeared to ignore the Russian Orthodox Church’s call for a boycott of the concert, with tickets selling out in record time.

Police said the concert went off without incident, despite the fact that Madonna defied church warnings against “exploiting Christian symbols” by singing from a cross at one point during the show, Itar-Tass reported.

"I dreamed of Madonna wearing my clothes ever since I was a little girl," says Brazilian Daniella Issa Helayel, who designed the flying duck-printed blouse that Madge wore to be interviewed by Hamish Bowles. "Even before I became a designer, I always wanted to make clothes for Madonna." With Issa dresses spreading like wild fire through A-list wardrobes (Keira Knightley, the Minogue sisters and Paris Hilton are all fans, Camilla Al Fayed is Daniella's new muse and Sharon Stone has apparently acquired no less than eight dresses for her forthcoming Basic Instinct 2 publicity tour), Daniella has been working on a line of bags and shoes to accessorise them. Madonna has been voted the most elegant woman in the public eye for last week. The poll held by Hello magazine saw Madonna receive nearly a thousand more votes than the second place winner Renee Zellweger. It was Madonna's surprise appearance at the London premier of Sin City that won her the title.
