Justify My Love is one of Madonna’s most controversial songs to date. As a result of all the controversy, the single was released as a video-single and became one of the the highest selling video single of all time.
The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it was certified Platinum.
In UK it peaked at #2, selling 235.000 so far.
Justify My Love has sold more than 2.000.000 units worldwide so far.
The video was deemed too sexually explicit for MTV and was banned from the network.
That’s what Madonna said about the banning:
Why is it that people are willing to go and watch a movie about someone getting blown to bits for no reason at all, and nobody wants to see two girls kissing and two men snuggling?
