Madonna spent the Thanksgiving at a Homeless LGBT Youth Center
Madonna has spent the Thanksgiving with her children at a Homeless LGBT Youth Center, the Ali Forney Center in Brooklyn.
The Ali Forney Center is committed to educating teens about safe sex and HIV prevention, as well as providing medical and mental health services, mentors, educational and career programs, life skills training and more. Ali Forney Center was named after a gender nonconforming youth made homeless at 13 years old.[bctt tweet=”“Had so much fun sharing Thanksgiving at the Ali Forney Center in Brooklyn!“ – @Madonna” username=”drownedmadonna”]
“This center protects LGBT Youth from the harms of homelessness and empowers them to reclaim their lives,” Madonna wrote on her Instagram account. “Each year the Ali Forney Center provides care for over 1,200 youth who are rejected by their family due to their LGBT identity. AFC provides these youth with tools they need to become independent and more importantly, AFC provides these youth with the love and support they are denied by their families.”[bctt tweet=”“Because everyone deserves to be loved and everyone deserves a home“ – @Madonna” username=”drownedmadonna”]
